Project Description

We has been commissioned to build and install windows into Mingary Castle as part of its restoration. The castle which is situated on a rocky peninsula on Scotland west coast dates back to the thirteenth century and has been unoccupied for the past 600 years.

It owner Donald Houston, has been granted permission to turn the ruin into a residential property, through the Mingary Preservation Trust, and work is now under way to restore it to its former glory at a cost of around approximately £2 million.

Gary Bibby Joinery are proud to be able to help restore such an ancient part of our heritage, working alongside other craftsmen like the stone masons who are restoring and hopefully preserving  this teasure for future generations.
